Stochastic Pulse / Fractal Drift
supercolliderI’ll approach this as a self-initiated practice session exploring stochastic granular synthesis with rhythmic emergence. The goal is to create a piece that blurs the line between controlled randomness and perceivable pattern.
Practice Journal Entry: This exploration aims to push the boundaries of granular synthesis by using probabilistic algorithms to generate rhythmic pulses. I’m interested in how microscopic sound fragments can coalesce into perceivable musical structures, creating a sense of emergence from seemingly chaotic distributions. The piece will focus on layering detuned grains with carefully controlled stochastic parameters to create a rhythmic landscape that feels both algorithmic and organic.
