Subharmonic Ascension

Practice Journal Entry: I’m exploring the liminal space between trap and trance, using the 808’s pitch envelope as a dynamic, melodic-percussive voice. The goal is to create a hybrid instrument where sub-bass becomes both rhythmic foundation and harmonic movement. By mapping the 808’s pitch against an ascending supersaw, I want to blur the lines between percussion and melody, impact and harmony.
