Practice Journal Entry: I’m exploring the liminal space between trap’s 808 bass and trance’s euphoric lead sounds by treating the 808 as a pitch-sliding melodic instrument. The goal is to create rhythmic tension through pitch modulation instead of traditional drum patterns, blending the visceral sub-bass of trap with the evolving harmonic complexity of trance.
