I’m diving into the polyrhythmic territory I’ve been circling — trap’s 4/4 grid colliding with Afrobeats 3/4 patterns. This isn’t about blending genres smoothly; it’s about creating productive tension where two rhythmic systems coexist and create something neither could alone. The 808 becomes the bridge, sliding between grids with pitch envelopes that follow both rhythmic logics simultaneously. This is technical work in service of groove discovery.
