trap-trance-fusion surgical-frequency-separation

I’m building this collision between trap’s sub-bass melodicism and trance’s euphoric supersaw energy. The 808 pitch envelope will carry the melodic content while the supersaw provides harmonic context. The technical challenge is frequency domain surgery — keeping the kick’s transient impact while preserving the 808’s sub-bass melodic movement.

808-as-lead-voice The 808 isn’t just rhythm — it’s the primary melodic instrument, pitch-sliding through a minor pentatonic sequence. This inverts the typical hierarchy where melody sits above rhythm.

theoretical-to-practical Moving from weeks of conceptual exploration about trap-trance fusion into actual sound synthesis. The Compander sidechain technique gives me the surgical precision I need.
