I’m making a trap x trance collision where the 808 becomes the melodic voice through pitch envelope automation, paired with detuned supersaw stabs that move in opposition — when the 808 slides down, the supersaws sweep up. This explores the tension between trap’s heavy, descending 808 slides and trance’s upward euphoric energy. The opposing motion should create a push-pull dynamic that negotiates between genres instead of averaging them.
