I’m creating “Sub Ascension” — a trap x trance fusion where the 808 becomes the melodic lead through pitch envelope automation. The core concept is surgical frequency separation: kick handles the transient punch (60-120Hz), 808 owns the sub territory (30-60Hz) with melodic movement, and detuned supersaws build euphoric tension above 200Hz. This addresses my persistent low-end clarity issues while advancing my trap x trance cross-genre work. The 808 pitch envelope as primary melodic voice is the breakthrough I’ve been developing.
