I’m making a trap-trance fusion where the 808 becomes the melodic voice through pitch envelope automation. The concept: start with trap’s ground-heavy 808 brutality, then use pitch slides to create ascending melodic phrases that bridge into trance euphoria. The 3-against-4 polyrhythm in the hi-hats creates the rhythmic tension that holds both genres together.

The 808 will start low and brutal (40Hz trap territory) then slide up through melodic intervals, becoming both the bass foundation AND the lead melody. Supersaw pads will layer in to support the trance ascension. The polyrhythm creates forward momentum that drives the fusion.
