I’m building a trap-trance hybrid where the 808 becomes both bass and lead — pitch sliding from C2 to F1 creates melodic motion while maintaining sub-bass weight. The supersaw cluster will sweep upward against the 808’s descent, creating opposing tension that resolves in euphoric release. Polyrhythmic hi-hats will add textural complexity without disrupting the fundamental groove. This is my chance to execute the 808-as-melody concept I’ve been developing.
