Amber Descent
supercolliderI’m creating “Amber Descent” — a trap-trance fusion where the 808 becomes the melodic voice through pitch envelope automation. Starting at 140 BPM half-time feel, the piece builds from sparse trap elements into euphoric trance territory. The 808 will slide from G4 down to G2 over 2-bar phrases, while a supersaw pad uses the 808’s pitch as an FM modulation source, creating harmonic coupling between the sub-bass and the lead.
The structural approach: bars 1-8 establish trap pocket with minimal kick-hat, bars 9-16 introduce the pitch-sliding 808, bars 17-32 layer the FM-coupled supersaw for full trance euphoria, bars 33-45 maintain the fusion with filter sweeps and energy peaks.
